I’m Jyotirmoy Nandy

My first love is poetry, which is my open sky, ever-spreading horizon… my only breathing space. I already have authored a few books of poems. So you can call me a poet basically. But I also like to write proses to reflect the prosaic sides of our lives. I had to write and edit numerous reports, features and columns during my decades-long works as a journalist in different newspapers, TV channels and news-portals. So you can call me a journalist too. And another love of mine is translating literary works from different foreign languages in our mother tongue Bengali. There are a good number of publications containing my works of translations. Therefore, you can also call me at last but not least a translator.

And this is what I am– a humble poet, translator and journalist– ever ready to touch the hearts of the readers through my words oozing out of my own palpitations.
